  1. May 16,  · Note that this is very similar to Living In The Past. The only difference is found on labels which have (TUL/2/3/4) with parentheses. Living In The Past has TUL/2/3/4 without parentheses. Original UK press released with the green Chrysalis labels. Released in a leather effect gatefold sleeve with 22 page booklet stapled to the inside/5().
  2. View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the Vinyl release of Living In The Past on Discogs.4/5(1).
  3. This is a 'double LP' collection of early Jethro Tull tracks with a few live performances thrown in. If you've bought the 'triple album collection' there's a fair bit of overlap. There was a tendency in those days to include lengthy live tracks, especially on double LPs, and an endearing feature of the CD (compared to the vinyl) is that you can /5().
  4. Apr 28,  · My question is WHY is this not included in the list of Jethro Tull music? TO answer my own question, it is because the entries are not labeled correctly. Between pages 2 and 3 I counted 30+ versions of "Living In The Past". The LP is listed in the list but under Singles and EP and not under LP where it belongs/5().
  5. Jethro Tull is a great band to listen to live, and most people who like the studio efforts would be better off getting the two great hits. But if you really like Jethro Tull and would like something off the beaten track (unless you already have Minstrel In The Gallery) then grab this up and enjoy some great tunes/5(46).
  6. As for the musical contents, surely you don't need me to tell you this is a top-tier affair, both a worthy and essential companion to the first four albums. Stuff like Christmas Song, Living In the Past, Sweet Dream, Witches Promise, the live Dharma For One reworking, /5(48).
  7. Although there have been several Jethro Tull compilations in the forty-odd years since 'Living In The Past' was released, it remains one of their finest. I lost my way a bit with JT after their third album, 'Benefit', dipping in and out of their catalogue from time to time/5().

  9. ‘Living In The Past’ was named after the single released in May and was released in an elaborate gate-fold packaging that contained a large colour photo booklet with over 50 photos of the band. Two songs, “By Kind Permission Of” and “Dharma for One”, were recorded live at Carnegie Hall.
